Quick question.. Is there anything different i can do to help heal a severe hamstring strain other than the typical rest, ice, heat and standard static stretches. I know 4 or 5 stretches for it and none of those seem to help much. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

Well without knowing anything about it beyond that it's a strain... in my experience strains typically mean the usual ice and rest deal at first, and then based on a judgement call, I make the decision that it's time to exercise it again to "rehab" it. It's just my own opinion, but I usually do that sooner rather than later. So for a hamstring it would be single leg rdl's with a light dumbell, till that feels better, then maybe rdl's, stepping stones like that back to normal.

again, just my opinion.
