Fatal Fitness

I started Team Forged as a way for all of the guys that are looking to get into an elite career field to exchange idea's, information and motivation. All who are interested in getting into one of these career fields are more than welcome. It would be great to get a centralized point that everyone can share and partake in the wealth of the team's knowledge and know how. All are welcome!!

Hey also just want to throw this out there, the Team "Dangerous Men" on Fatal Fluid is also for the same reason, so if you want to get with other pool ninjas, join up there as well.

Good morning,

A quick introduction is in order. I am Jeremy, currently AF, and just picked up for retrain into SERE. Was looking around this site to find any SERE Specialists to network with and came across Team Forged. I am super stoked about the opportunity given for this retrain and looking forward to sponging up as much knowledge as possible to prosper within the career field. Y'all have a good one...

Jeremy

I know we've got some SERE types, so you should be able to find some help. Plus between all the other high speed hopefuls or success story guys we've got on here, you should be able to find exactly what you're looking for.

Hey

I am also interested in SERE and have already started my retraining package but I had a question about how much swimming is done at the SERE selection Course and during SST? Thanks for any help....

Hey Dan, sorry...I have been out of pocket here lately. Still trying to get this paperwork pushed through. Already had a IFC III, but had to get another one...that's the pain for now. I started as a CF guy and now bounce between this site and CrossFit East (not the "mothership").

To train up for SERE what's a good load to ruck with to prep? How long have you been a SERE Specialist and how do you like it? Damn I am ready to get there and get it in!! How much running is involved...better yet...what is the average day like in training?

Hell, that is all I can think of right now. Did some talking to a guy here, but he did the PCS thing and the job wasn't too kind with letting me go to check more out.

When are you coming to Fairchild?

It's a TV show they did with a SERE class. I actually knew 2 of the guys on this show. There were in SERE indoc when I was in CCT indoc. Anyways, it's modified for the TV audience so you have to take that into account, but it gives you a general idea of what to look forward to in the coming months of training. It's a good little show to watch though.

I'm currently on a PJ contract waiting to leave for BMT on the 23rd of March. I'm using the TACP ETG as a train up and after its completed I plan to use stew smiths PJ/CCT training guide and maybe mix it in with militaryathlete.com and crossfit and fatalfitness.

I swim 4-5days a week currently and am running with a friend whose a x-country runner for a local college. I've always been a sprinter and ran on my toes, so running long distance is my biggest downfall.

Any suggestions?

Here's my advice- the programming here has improved, partially with input from the dudes at military athlete, and the programming for FFluid goes right along with it, so you may really get your best results just sticking with straight FF/FFluid two-a-days once you're done the ETG. Best way to get well rounded results that are still sport-specific appropriate for PJ.
