Fatal Fitness

Rumor's have been that if you quit in INDOC or training, you are no longer re-classed and are now honorably discharged.

I spoke with my recruiter, and some SOF's on Shadowspear.com, come to find out it's true(for the most part). Only 10% of washout's are recommended for re-class, so for those thinking they'll get TACP if they wash, just be happy if you stay in the USAF.

The Air Force is currently 4,000 Airman over capacity, and are using high-wash out rated school's to cut the excess fat, tightening up recruiting and "forcing" the 20+ year Airman to retire, if not needed.

Tighten up guys, if you really want PJ, CCT, SERE, TACP, EOD, SOWT, I highly suggest your physically and mentally prepared and actually KNOW what your getting yourself into. For those of us who are already in a contract, I HIGHLY suggest, you use this as motivation, I know I am.

Its true.. just got briefed down here about a week ago. Those washing out have only a 10% chance of staying in. This just goes for the students just out of basic training though, not the crosstrainees
Pretty freaky. For me, PJ's is now do or die. If I don't make it, it's not because I wasn't motivated or because I quit. Worst case scenario, get a waiver, train your ass off and go back and try again.
I am looking at possibly enlisting to be a TACP after college. But I am wondering what can get you kicked out/washed out of the tech school? Not including quitting.
Injuries, not passing the physical examinations, not passing eval days, not passing written exams, etc etc etc.

Your wanting to enlist as a TACP after college? Or are you talking about being an ALO? How good of shape are you in? Whats your 3 mile run time? How many pushups can you do in 2 minutes? Same thing with situps and pullups? If your serious about TACP, I highly suggest purchasing the TACP ETG(elite training guide) in the fatal fitness armory. It did wonders for me, but I'm going PJ, and still needed a lot of work.
The college I'm looking into going to doesn't have an ROTC, but I wanted to enlist after so I would have a better chance of getting into it. Right now I am in decent shape. I can do the minimum for push-ups and sit-ups, and pull-ups im trying to find a place to do them. For the run I thought it was only a mile and half, which i can make the max score if its under 10:30. I haven't tried a 3-mile in a while
Thats just to get your contract bud...thats the MINIMUM to even be allowed into the school. Do your research bud, it's a tough school.

You need to be able to work out all day long, Ruck with ease, run forever and so on and so fourth. TACP is arguably the 3rd hardest enlisted job in the Air Force. PJ/CCT a close tie, then TACP behind them.

Just because you can run pass the test to get your contract has literally no bearing on if your going to pass in the schoolhouse

Be able to run 3 miles in 20ish minutes. Also, start swimming, doing pushups, pullups, situps every chance you get. High intensity workouts are your best friend.

A new TACP elite training guide(I believe) is in the works so I suggest purchasing it when it's available and doing every workout you can, to the very last pushup. Go to the forums and personal experience area. Check out the TACP Schoolhouse thread made by George. It's very informative.
ok... thanks a lot man
I got another question. How can i prepare academically for the school house?
Romad.com

Go to the forums and ask there. I'm not a TACP so I can not give a good answer to that question, sorry man.
its ok. thanks for the help.
I am not TACP but I am really into fitness. I tried out for CCT 2 years back. The thing that helped me pass the CCT test was workout until I felt like dying. I usually work out pretty hard but for that it was spacing out workouts, runs, swimming and rucking. You really have to be prepared mentally that has alot to do with the Physical tests. To be there physically I believe you have to be there mentally in order to push yourself through. Set your goals way above standards, this way it won't seem so bad. Also by doing so you will be there and ready for whatever PT they are going to throw at you. Again I am not in TACP this is just my thoughts.. good luck.
Thats not the case anymore. You have to be extremely well liked to be selected for TACP or SERE. Otherwise your security forces or honorably discharged. I'm actually stressing pretty bad right now bc I have a bad case of shin splints and bmt is 4weeks away. I had a PJ tell me to just do a crap ton of cardio in other ways as well as stability drills and keep training. My legs need to be "saved" and let them recover. I just hope they aren't going to hinder me while in INDOC.
