Jets were used in INDOC....

I love my rockets. I go through them like no tomorrow though. I've busted one (ripped the toe ... somehow), had another pair stolen (my car got busted into)... anyway they're a SMOKER as far as the workout goes.

Go on ebay, you'll find rockets pretty cheap.

Jet fins are fine, and most will agree that they make you faster, but in Indoc you can only use Rockets. I suggest training with rockets for PJ because you will just end up with a false sense of security with the Jets. At Indoc they are very serious about hitting your fitness standards every week. If you miss, you get one chance to try it again, and you are gone. On the other hand, I believe that CCT school will allow Jets. Everything I hears says that Jets are better fins, so if you are after CCT, you may consider that. Or just train in the worst possible conditions (Rockets) so that you are better prepared for the school.

jet fins cost around 70 bucks, just google jet fins and you'll find them, those are the fins you'll use on team too

no, sorry- he must have been at a different selection day. they host them like every 2-3 months when they're not deployed.

navyseals.com is where I bought mine. They sell two sizes, the regular rocket and the super rocket. My shoe size was right on the line of the difference between regs and supers, so I went with the supers, and the foot cavity is huge. If you have narrow feet, and/or are close to the size change, I suggest getting the smaller ones. You are going to pay $100 for them, there is no real good way of getting around that. Finning is the devil. Practice it alot!!!! Underwaters and finning are your two focuses in the pool. Try to find somebody to buddy breath with too. That is huge.

I have been looking for those fins but haven’t had much luck. Can any one lead me in the right direction to not pay an arm and a leg for them?

Felt good in the pool today. Worked under waters but I’m not consistent on the full 50m. Got the 500m surface down to about 9:35. I also did 5 laps consisting of 1 length get out do 10 pushups then return, get out and do 10 four count flutter kicks.

Really, do you know Capt Kazowka, the prior Marine? I went to Phase II with him.

yeah I tore my meniscus at the 306th rqs' selection day a while back. I'm looking forward to trying out again when I'm ready too
