I kept trying to get one on the rings we had at work in Afghanistan. The PJ's were helping me but my kip and false grip sucked pretty bad and couldn't do the transition. Got to Kyrgyzstan and was working out with a SEAL and he gave me just a little itty bitty pointer about my knees and BOOM...muscle up with. So I went back later that day and did like 25 more. I was on cloud 9 all day.

jason, im not sure how youre doing your stroke underwater but alternating in with the "keyhole stroke" should be a full body dolphin kick as well. along with the recovery of your hands to the starting position should be a whip kick. one thing that helps with the dolphin kick is to stay relaxed and use your whole body when you do it. if you start the kick with your upper body rather than just kicking with your legs you can relax your abs and still pump out a very powerful kick that uses less energy, thus traveling further and proving to be more efficient.

Hey studs!
Just wanted to drop a quick line to let everyone know who is in the midst of preparation or training to keep up the hard work. It's a dangerous world out there. We lost some awesome guys a few weeks ago. Pilot, FE, and 3 PJ's were downed by enemy fire while on a rescue mission. They were the best of the best. I want to remind you guys of the danger you will be stepping into when you walk through the door you all have chosen and the good that you all can do and contribute to the Air Force and the world. KEEP IT UP!

Congrad's man! You just complete a monumental task that few have completed. I hope that we were able to help you out a little bit.

Next challenege that I am working on...Muscleups. Almost got it down after day one. My kip is kind of weak to it's hurting my transition from the pullup to the dip, and I'm not keeping my hands close enough togehter. One thing is for sure. If you are not used to the false grip the rings are gonna tear you up!
